If an 280 volvo outdrive gets completely submerged in saltwater for 6-7 hours is it worthless?
A 100 ft. boat was towing a smaller vessel for 6 hours and The engine room on the smaller vessel filled up with water the vessel almost sunk but was saved before the boat sunk. What do I need to do to make this outdrive still work?
no but you need to be sure and get any salt water out of it, obviously with the engine room under water it is going to be a rebuild job just to make sure everything is in order,many boats have been sunk longer than that and get re floated and rebuilt so to speak you need some one who has good idea what to do next good luck
