When you are naturally left handed, your whole life you feel like you have to learn things backwards. When starting to play the guitar, the suggestion for you as a lefty will be to learn left handed guitar, but it might not be the best choice.
You will feel awkward regardless what hand you use. When starting out, playing your guitar is going to be uncomfortable and awkward. Your hands and fingers have not been challenged and stretched in such a way before. Since this is the case, you have the option of choosing which hand you would like to use with the guitar.
