Anyone heard of a Used Car scam with the seller located in Scotland?
SellMyCar.com has a listing for a 2005 Cadillac Cts, a $19-$24K luxury vehicle available for only $8100! We emailed the buyer & were told that he is "working in Aberdeen, Scotland," but he can arrange the purchase for the vehicle since it's located in Houston, TX. Sounds too good to be true...he wants to have the transaction handled through WorldPay only. We copied & pasted the VIN# of the car listed and found that it was also posted in the Chicago Topix classifieds for $10K! This guys making money by taking deposits via WorldPay and NEVER COMPETING THE SALE - BUYERS BEWARE!!!
This sounds like the well-known eBay and craigslist scam. It's always someone in London or Europe who has an incredible car for sale at a discount price. Some people actually fall for this. Some people are not that bright.
