Mazda Splatters Hot Sauce Over New Hatchback
Any aficionado who has the eye for elegance and spice will surely be captivated by the red hot Mazdaspeed 3. The automaker has splattered hot sauce over its new hatchback to make aficionados crave for its exotic taste.
When the automaker introduced the Mazda 3, people went frantic. They uttered a spiel that was similar to this: “The kids these days! They want everything! They’re paying 16 grand but they want a mini-Mercedes, so that’s what we have to give them. Even though, back in our day, entry-level cars had cardboard steering wheels, and if you wanted a sunroof you had to wait for a rust hole to form above your head - which usually took only a couple of weeks.â€
The Mazdaspeed 3 is said to be tasteful, sleek, quiet, stunning, and powerful. It boasts plenty of space as well as high-end options like a Bose stereo and a navigation system. The hatchback is inspired by the Volvo S40 but it runs like a pretty costly car. The Mazdaspeed 3 is equipped with 18-inch wheels and a stiffer suspension. The limited slip differential, a six-speed Manual Transmission, traction control and the Dynamic Stability Control are also standard features given to the hatchback.
The Mazdaspeed 3 is built on the hatch/wagon version of the Mazda 3’s platform. It retains all that functionality and configuration. The aesthetic worth of the Mazdaspeed 3’s smooth underbody tray will catch everyone’s fetish. The visual signifiers of the hatchback’s abilities are subtle. Most of the front sheet metal has been modified to provide the breathing and cooling demands of the direct-injection turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
The turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, similar to BMW’s 3-liter 6, is aimed at concealing forced induction with a creamy linearity. It strives to mimic the big naturally aspirated engines so no one could tell that you are driving a turbo.
The Masdaspeed 3’s turbo-ness creates an unadulterated power for a magnificent driveability and a furious vengeance ride. How quick is the Mazdaspped 3? Well, it outruns its own electronics. The 60 m.p.h. can be achieved in less than six seconds. In addition to that, with a top speed of over 150 m.p.h., it is the fastest car Mazda has ever built.
The hot hatchback from Mazda is anticipated to set the standards of the segment. The base price of the Mazdaspeed 3 Sport is $22,835 and the Grand Touring version is $24,550. However, for an additional 25 grand, purchasers could get the xenon headlamps, a seven-speaker Bose sound system, rain-sensing wipers, leather-trimmed seats, a stability control system, an automatic climate control and lots of horsepower to scare drivers away.
