Buying police impound cars...good idea or no?
Im saving up for a used car that i can use to get back and forth to school and such. I heard about police impound car sales and was wondering if there is any down sides to getting a car through that service?

Impound cars can be anything from junkers used by low-life robbers to big fancy SUVs used by high-end drug dealers.
You can attend these auctions, if you can find out where they are being held, but the "catch" is that there are other people there bidding against you and if you're bidding on a nice car, there will be other people bidding too. Here is an article that explains how it works:

One of the changes may be a vast increase in the potential for anopheline mosquito production unless appropriate control works and procedures are planned, designed, and operated. The choice is, therefore, between the probability of a disastrous "man-made" increase in transmission of malaria or a successful resolution of the continuing conflict between adverse biological pressures and control practices. There is no ready-made formula which is applicable under all circumstances to all impoundments, for variations in ecological conditions and the primary purposes of water control are practically infinite.
