Valkyrie Motorcycle Honda Fairings
Honda first introduced the Valkyrie motorcycle, in 1997. It more than fulfilled the advance copy that flooded the market months before its' first appearance of a naked Standard and a Tourer model. The difference between these 2 machines was The Tourer included a windshield and lockable hard saddlebags. In 1999, the Interstate model was added to the lineup, which included a fork-mounted fairing along with a trunk at the rear of the motorcycle. Sales eventually began to dwindle, so the Tourer model was dropped in 2000, and the Interstate was dropped in 2001, leaving only the Standard model remaining. And by 2003 the Standard model was offered only in black and it was the last year of the original Valkyrie motorcycle. http://www.idealhere.com
This cruiser is a big boy, tipping the scales at a whopping 682 pounds according to Honda. The cruiser world thought the Royal Star was big, until the introduction of the Valkyrie motorcycle. As with any good Hot Rod, the engine is the centerpiece of the machine. Six cylinders, six chrome-capped carbs, and six headers heading for two pipes sharing six outlets make sure no one but the absolutely uninitiated will mistake this for another me-too V-twin. The Valkyrie motorcycle is fitted with five gears - all are well spaced, in a welcome change from the four gear shuffle on most cruisers.
The most impressive thing about the Valkyrie motorcycle, once you get over the size, is the way it handles on the road. It is like riding on a cloud, until you take your first corner. You soon feel the 46mm inverted fork and twin rear shocks soak up the bumps with ease. No weaving or wandering, no terminal wobble even if you hit a big set of bumps mid-corner. This huge bike surprisingly is easy to maneuver at low speeds. However, trying a U-turn is like trying to turn a 747 on a dime. Don't make any sudden moves, and you won't have any problems. With this said, you will be surprised at the balance this big boy has, but then again, Honda has always been known for its' revolutionary changes to improve their motorcycles. Most cruise riders are looking for that motorcycle that rattles their teeth at 75 mph on the highway. That is part of the thrill of riding down the highway without a single care in the world. And Honda did engineer that rattling feature in the Shadow 1100 American Classic Edition, by using offset crankpins, ultimately give the rider a case of the shakes. http://www.idealhere.com/wholesale-Fairing_c111780
Used Bike Lots: Used bike lots are a great place to see many used motorcycles in one place. As with cars, you must realize that buying from a dealership will generally be more expensive than buying your motorcycle from a private seller. On the other hand, buying your motorcycle from a bike dealership will give you the opportunity to purchase a warranty. If there isn't a used motorcycle dealership near the town or city where you live, you may need to travel a bit to get to one. This might be well worth it if you'd like to choose from a large selection, be able to test drive your new bike, and deal with an established business. http://www.idealhere.com/wholesale-Motorcycle-Parts_c16
Honda not only created the ultimate cruiser – they went beyond ultimate. However many riders felt that the Valkyrie motorcycle was priced right when it first came out, but it was too good to be true. Everything was too, too smooth, too good at handling the road, too comfortable. However, it did have one flaw - because of the engine design the foot pegs are restricted. So the 1500cc six-cylinder hotrod cruiser is all that Honda promised, and more.
