Gas Pocket Bike
put a lawn mower motor in a Pocket Bike?
i have a lawn mower motor.first i took the blade off then i lifted the motor out of the platform or whatever. what do i need to do in order to make the motor run like a normal gas pocket bike. can i have the steps? thanks
Short answer
Can't
The shaft that drives the chain on a pocket bike is horizontal. The crankshaft on a lawn mower is vertical. You cannot turn the engine on its side and expect it to run. Oiling will be a huge problem and you would have to produce a new intake manifold to remount the carb 90 degrees from original position.
Unless you have access to machining and fabrication equipment and wish to make this an engineering exercise, don't waste your time. Especially on a pocket bike.
