River Thames Jet Boat Hire Experience
Now in their second year Thames speed boat hire is no longer a new fad, but a proven exciting way to view the wonderful sights of London. Generally more popular in the spring, summer and autumn RIB speed boat charters on the Thames have grown in popularity.
Developing from the RIB speed boat rides and other general boat hire in London, earlier this summer London saw the arrival of an exciting new craft, a custom built Jet Boat.
A jet boat experience is like no other speed Thames boat hire available on the water with high speed twists, turns, spins and phenomenal acceleration the Jet Boat Experience provides passengers of all ages with a unique and exciting way to enjoy the river Thames in London.
The boat is on a design used by the Special Boat Squadron and the Royal Marines and has been custom built for operation as a passenger carrying speed boat on the Thames.
With an Aluminium hull, hard cell core foam collar and mid engine twin diesel 250 Steyr on twin Rolls Royce Kamewa jets, this is a rapid and highly manoeuvrable speed boat.
The large RIB’s are still offering the traditional speed boat rides and themed adventure games such as James Bond style blasts down the river. The jet boat experience simply takes this concept of speed and manoeuvrability to a new level of raw adrenaline thrill rides.

Jet: Frank Whittle and the Invention of the Jet Engine $18.75 In 12 April 1937 Frank Whittle became the first person to successfully start and run a turbojet engine. In May 1941 the engine took to the air in an experimental Gloster-Whittle aircraft, but despite the RAF's desperate need for air supremacy over her enemies, little support was forthcoming from the military establishment. It was the enthusiasm of the American General 'Hap' Arnold that took the next stage of development to the USA and within six months Whittle's invention was powering more American Jets than British. This is the story of the genius throttled by British government bureaucracy, for even when in 1943 Rolls-Royce became involved with the successful design and manufacture of engines based on Whittle's concepts, his company was nationalised and banned from engine production Although gagged for decades by the secrecy of that period, the story can now be told in full and these revelations provide a fascinating insight into the attitudes of the wartime government and military establishment, attitudes that led to one of the greatest inventions of all time being offered freely to those who were to become Britain's main aircraft manufacturing competitors. This book was previously known as "Genesis of the Jet: Frank Whittle and the invention of the Jet Engine." As part of this new release we have included a supplement by Ian Whittle and a copy of the patents submitted in Germany by Sir Frank Whittle back in 1932. |

Can I put Perfect Pass on my Sea Doo boat?
I have a 1998 Sea Doo Sportster, twin engine, 18 foot jet boat. I have a tower, but wondering if I could get a Perfect Pass system on board? Thanks
Perfect Pass is kind of like Cruise Control for a boat, it gets it up to a set speed and to stay at it. Thanks
I am pretty sure that last year, Perfect Pass started being installed as a factory option on Sea Doo, Not sure if the you can buy it aftermarket? I have been watching and waiting so I can install one on my Yamaha LS 2000.
