Walt Disney World Trip Question (how to save money)?
I have a few specific questions.
1. If I booked a hotel and the flight online through Expedia, which is very cheap compare to other sites that I have checked. Is the airport really far from the Disney Resort, b/c the hotel is like 5 miles from the resort, how much money will it cost for me to get a cab? Or are there bus?
2. The hotel offers shuttle services. Other than that, if we use the cab, is it going to be really expensive?
3. Is it a better idea to book a disney hotel or a hotel outside of disney?
I really don't want to just stay in disney, I also want to go to other places in Orlando, such as eating at other places in Orlando, not just in disney parks.
4. Is it a good idea to rent a car? I am 20 years old, I don't know if I can even rent one. I am traveling with my girlfriend.

I don't think u can rent a car, and if this is the case I would reeeally think about staying on Disney as all the buses within the grounds are free practically every 5 mins, wherever u wanna go.
Whenever we needed to go off site we just took the free transport to Downtown Disney (as this is on the outskirts of the resort) and took a taxi. $5 should get u to International Drive where a tram runs up and down the length of shops/restaurants/SeaWorld/Aquatica and from Sea World there is free transport to Busch Gardens. Another $10 will get u to Universal Studios and Islands Of Adventure.
I found it very hard to access Disney when I stayed off site, as although they have a bus running to Disney, it only came every hour and stopped by midday, so if we wanted to go back to the hotel then go back to the parks in the evening we couldnt!
Only ever get taxis in and out of Downtown Disney as there is a charge for taxis entering any of the Disney parks.
You might think staying on Disney would be expensive, but they're running some great deals at the mo including free dining plan from mid August to mid December so your food is taken care of every day! Saves hundreds, so thats most of ur spending money sorted!
