What's the best reverse assistance for my car?

A back up alarm doesn't help you back up. It only warns others that you are backing up. (and from my experience does NOT stop them from walking behind you anyway!) I consider that a waste of money.

There are lots of remote cameras available. (many larger RVs and buses have them as standard equipment.) They use a small monitor mounted on the dash and can be quite effective if mounted properly. Note: the view of the camera can confuse you as to what is left and right because it is looking backwards. It will take getting used to.

Object sensors are a technology that has been around for years. It basically shoots a beam behind that reflects off of any objects and in some even has a readout telling how far away the object is. (usually up to about 15') The problem is that they may not detect low objects like curbs, etc.)

The other option is the one that I personally believe everyone should use. It is an old invention called mirrors and comes standard on all vehicles. The driver side mirror shows what is along the driver's side and the rear view (center mirror) shows straight behind you. If the rear of the car is too high, it might require changing the rear view mirror to one that sits higher in the car. That will allow it to see over the back and down. The passenger side mirror is a joke as it is convex. Convex mirrors show a wide area, but are difficult to use as distance is hard to tell. I recommend replacing them with a flat glass mirror like used on the driver's side. Of course then you must practice with them until you can judge where the corners of your car are. (Notice that big trucks do all of their backing using side mirrors only.)
