Bombardier Sea Doo
Kawasaki vs. Sea Doo?

I'm looking into 2 different jet skii's. Here are the 2 links: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/boa/33...

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/boa/33...

One is a 97' Sea Doo Bombardier GTX and the other is a '97 Kawasaki STX900
Which one is better as far as reliablity, gas hog or not, bigger engine, tank size, better speed & just overall better?
i can't find any info on the internet so any sites would be great!

Good place to go is sea-doo.net they can answer everything about Sea-Doos. I myself am a Certified Sea-Doo mechanic and love them. The Kawasaki is a triple cylinder right? Not too fond of those but Polaris is worse. If you can take them both out for a test drive then go, you will make your mind up real fast then. Sea-Doo didn't change the GTX until 2003 when they went to 4-stoke only. Sea-Doo only had the 800CC (110 HP) in the 97 and they went to the 951 (130 HP)in 98 so that might be better for you if you like pulling tubes and skiers.

A major moneymaker for RKO Radio, Bombardier stars Pat O'Brien and Randolph Scott as trainers at a school for bomber pilots. O'Brien and Scott argue over teaching methods, while their students vie for the affections of Anne Shirley. O'Brien's methods prove sound during a bombing raid over Tokyo. Scott and his crew are captured and tortured by the Japanese, but the mortally wounded Scott manages to set fire to a gas truck, providing a perfect target for his fellow bombardiers. Stylistically, Bombardier is one of the most schizophrenic of war films, with moments of subtle poignancy (the death of trainee Eddie Albert) alternating with scenes of ludicrous "Yellow Peril" melodrama (the Japanese literally hiss through their teeth as they torture the helpless Americans). Though it can't help but seem dated today, Bombardier remains an entertaining propaganda effort (the film is sometimes erroneously listed as the debut of Robert Ryan, who'd actually been appearing before the cameras since 1940). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The Collector's Guide to Ski-Doo Snowmobiles

The Collector's Guide to Ski-Doo Snowmobiles

$19.9

Joseph-Armond Bombardier devoted his entire life to finding mechanical designs that would help conquer the elements in his part of the world -- Valcourt, Quebec, Canada, where winters are long and deep with snow. One of his greatest inventions was a motorized snow vehicle, the first of which allowed a missionary friend of his to cross miles of woods that would have not otherwise been passable. From that first Bombardier snow machine to the newer Formula series models, all Ski-Doo snowmobiles to 1995 are covered in this Collector's Guide to Ski-Doo Snowmobiles. The book traces the development of the snowmobiles, their engines, suspensions, and comfort features. It takes you from the age of wooden skis and bodywork to today's light, powerful, and aerodynamic Ski-Doo models. Technical specifications and year-by-year updates are included, along with 135 photos.

After Pearl Harbor, America prepared to fight for its life. In mere weeks, millions of civilians from farmers to bellhops were turned into battle-ready gunners, commandos, Seabees, pilots and bombardiers. A cast of man’s men, including Pat O’Brien, Randolph Scott and Robert Ryan, headline this prime example of World War II filmmaking that works on many levels: as a flag waver, an action picture and most memorably, a taut procedural (featuring actual training camp filming) that follows would-be bombardiers through the perils, camaraderie and conflict of training. Equipment fails, controls jam, men plunge to their deaths…and the bombardiers soar on to face explosive, soul-testing action in the Pacific.
