I have a boat w/ 200hp Johnson O/B hardly runs, need a new boat, what should I choose?
I have a 1977 Tiderunner Open Bow that has a 200HP Johnson O/B probably is just as old as the boat. The motor barely runs, have to spray starter fluid in it any time you want to start it. The boat isn't in the best of condition either, upholstry is ripped, and all the electronics are old. I bought it about three months ago and haven't gone out in it. I want something a little quieter, probably I/O instead. I was thinking maybe even going with a jet boat (sea-doo). I have a budjet of only about 5000-8000 what should I get??
Get a jet boat! I have a 96 seadoo speedster, got it for 5500.00 they are some bad little boats! mine is a 14ft with twin 85hp engines. they manuver like nothing I have ever seen, at full throttle (60mph) you can cut the wheel as fast as you can and the boat will turn on a dime. I have a video on myspace of mine you can watch.
